It is the direct continuation of the series written by Masashi Kishimotonarrates the events from Volume 28 of the manga. In this new installment we can see a more adult and stronger Naruto, endowed with new skills, product of the rigorous training with the perverted sage. 

The most beloved shinobi is back to fulfill many more missions! 

After spending two and a half years training with Jiraiya, Naruto returns to Konoha. Being once again in the hidden village of the leaf, he will be reunited with his old companions and friends. But, before Tsunade will test them, thus giving the go-ahead for Kakashi's team to be reformed. 

The squadron will have some changes, Sai will arrive, a mysterious and quiet boy who will take the place that belonged to the Uchiha. As squad leader, Yamato will take Kakashi's place, since the latter is inactive.

On the other hand, our young Uchiha and his Hebi group are on the move to hunt down Itachi and destroy Konoha. We must also add the threat posed by Orochimaru with the ambition to take control over the body of his pupil. Will the Uchiha be his next body? 

Akatsuki is a criminal organization that gathers several renegade ninjas from the 5 nations, their objective is to search for all the Bijus (Beasts with tails), including our protagonist. With the power collected from the Bijus they will be able to change the world order and conquer the world, destroying everything in their path. 

Masashi Kishimoto a mastermind 

On February 15, 2007, the continuation of this adventure will be released on TV, which will narrate the events after a time jump of two and a half years. With the new installment, Kishimoto consecrated his saga, which to date includes the original saga, two sequels, 8 movies and several specials. 

It managed to modernize the image of the Japanese ninja to a more current trend, becoming a reference and inspiration for other sagas and a pop culture phenomenon. This has allowed it to sell more than 200 million copies in Japan alone. 

Despite the fact that 16 years have passed since its premiere, it has managed to find its place among the streaming platforms, and has been able to add more and more fans to the franchise. 

Kishimoto has won several awards, including the Hop Step Award and "Rookie of the Year", an award given by Japan's cultural affairs agency. 

He went from being an amateur cartoonist, lover of programs such as Doraemon and Dragon Ball to become a successful and influential mangaka recognized worldwide. 

Main characters of Naruto Shippuden

Naruto Uzumaki

After spending a couple of years away from the village, he returns home with new skills, during his training he learned to master a little better the chakra of his beast, although sometimes it gets out of control. He has one goal in mind and that is to rescue Sasuke.

Sakura Haruno

She has become a medical ninja and has developed superhuman strength similar to that of her mentor. She still regrets the departure of her beloved Sasuke and hopes to see him again. Together with Naruto, she will begin the quest to bring him back. 

Sai 

He belongs to the Root, a branch of Anbu led by Danzo. He specializes in techniques that require ink, he is a quiet and very mysterious boy. Both Sakura and Naruto distrust him, since they think he could be an infiltrator of Danzo, but little by little he will gain the trust of both. 

Yamato

He is a Jonin who specializes in wood techniques, just like the first hokage. He belonged to Anbu, where he met the ninja he copies. He is the leader of squad number 7 and is the only one who can contain the 9-tailed fox when it gets out of control. 

Jiraiya

After finishing his trip with Naruto, he leaves to fulfill a very important mission that will take him to the hidden village of the rain, where it never stops raining and is known for being a place that was ravaged by war in the past, where Jiraiya himself had taken three boys as students.  

Tsunade

The sannin is the leader of the village, known to be the most competent physician of the five nations. She has taken Sakura in as her student and successor, teaching her all her techniques and medical jutsus. She will be at the head of the village to stop the plans of those who want to destroy the village. 

Kakashi Hatake 

In this new saga, he will be in charge of training Naruto together with Yamato, to help him improve his skills, so that he can defeat Sasuke in the future and control the Kyubi's chakra. He will take his squad to the land of the wind to rescue Gaara.

Gaara 

Garra has become the Kazekage, leader of the sand village. He has overcome his past and is now beloved by his people. But, being a jinchuriki he is targeted by Akatsuki, being kidnapped to extract the Biju from inside him. 

Sasuke Uchiha

He remains Orochimaru's subordinate, learning everything he can use to confront his brother Itachi and avenge his clan. He will form a "Hebi" team to hunt down the Uchiha and destroy Konoha in due time.

It has 500 episodes, divided into 21 seasons. About 180 episodes are original episodes of the series, while the rest correspond to the manga.

Shippuden translates as hurricane chronicles. 

Sai and Sasuke were drawn using the same sketches, and their personalities were planned to be similar. 

Naruto is the third Jinchuriki of the 9-tailed fox, before him Mito and Kushina Uzumaki had carried it. 

In chapter 375, we can see on video how a series of fights that equals the number of fights seen in three seasons of Dragon Ball takes place. 

Kakashi is the copying ninja, mastering around 1000 jutsu. 

Kishimoto has always had favoritism for Sasuke, spending much more time drawing him than other characters. 

Naruto is dubbed by a woman, both in its original language and in Latin America. 

This is a sequel that knows how to connect very well with the public, it presents us with our protagonist more adult, more experienced, but still with many insecurities and who is still in search of his place in the village. 

The dose of action is guaranteed, we have powerful villains that will give us a visual spectacle to the point that we will come to love them. Naruto has been the only manga to win the "Best Novel" category at the Quill Awards in 2006, so it's a powerful reason to give it a chance.
