Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village
U.S. users show their dissatisfaction with the Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village movie.
One of the most talked about anime in the last few years has been Kimetsu no Yaiba and it is no wonder, since the work written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, has managed to fascinate viewers thanks to the combination of plot and characters, resulting in a unique work in its style, so it is not surprising that users are aware of their new releases and recently, his second film was released, entitled Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village. However, the reception by users in the United States has not been as expected, at least in terms of criticism, but what is the reason for this dissatisfaction?
Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village movie is criticized in the U.S.
On February 3, 2009, the Demon Slayer World Tour 2023which will reach 80 countries and its objective is to promote the third season of Kimetsu, so it has a new film entitled Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village and it was released in theaters in the Anglo-Saxon country.
The box office numbers in the first days of the show made it clear that American audiences love this play, which amassed the sum of USD $10MDD, a figure that exceeded all expectations, but unfortunately, not everyone who attended the film was satisfied and the dissatisfaction of many was reflected in social networks.
What did users dislike?
The most recent film by Kimetsu shows us the events that took place in the last two episodes of the second season, that is, the arc of the red light district, but that's not all, it also presents the first episode of the third season, which will cover the arc of the village of the blacksmiths.
And it is here where the discontent of the users appears, since many thought that these were unreleased scenes that would be part of the third season, others even expected to find similar content to the first film, but their surprise was great when they saw that it was not so.
This led to a number of complaints that were published in the social network of Twitter, where many users took the opportunity to vent their dissatisfaction with the film. Below we will share some of the publications to give you a better idea of the dissatisfaction of the users.
"Bruh, it's sad when mfs just makes shit like a cash grab. That's exactly what this new Demon Slayer movie is. Basically, "the movie" is a new presentation of episodes 10 and 11 of season 2. Then you can check out the first episode of the new season . Don't waste your time with this, save money."
"The new Demon Slayer movie is a real rip off. I can't believe what I just paid to see. Don't. I'm freaking out right now."
"I was fooled by that Demon Slayer movie that made me watch two recap episodes and a new episode bruh."
"I watched Demon Slayer: To The Swordsmith Village thinking it would be a whole new movie and I'm furious. Basically, I just paid to re-watch the last 2 episodes of Entertainment District and then an episode of the next season. Disgusting scam and a waste of time. Be careful and avoid."
Are the users right with their disagreement?
Although the disappointment of many users who were expecting to see new content is relatively understandable, we must point out that the story that this new movie would present had been announced in advance and it was clearly specified that it would once again cover the arc of the red light district in its last episodes, in the same way that the first episode of the third season would show.
Therefore, the complaints we shared above, although not all of those that were posted, are a general sample of what those users who did not carefully research what the new film was about and we presume they got carried away by the title of the film, which alludes to the following arc, feel.
Based on the above, we can conclude that the disagreement expressed in social networks has no solid basis and only makes it clear that they did not take enough time to learn about the content of the product they were going to consume.
This could be without effect taking into account that it is the user's own problem for not finding out correctly, but unfortunately it is not as simple as simply disassociating themselves from the mistake they made, and social networks have spread like wildfire that the new film is a kind of scam for once again exploiting the story that we have already seen before.
That is why we believe it is fair and necessary to make it known that those involved in this film made it perfectly clear what it was about and did not omit any information, and on the contrary, they shared everything that was needed to know so that those who decided to attend the screening would know what it was about.
When will the third season of Kimetsu no Yaiba be released?
After the end of the second season, it was announced almost immediately that there would be a third season and it was to be expected, the work of the studio Ufotable with the animation was simply outstanding in every way and as expected, they will continue to be in charge of the new installment.
As for its release date, it is scheduled for next year. April 9 and will be broadcast in Japan on television channels, while in the West, it will be available on the streaming platform of Crunchyroll. It is worth noting that the third season will cover the Blacksmith Village arc and therefore, the first episode will feature the same content we saw at the end of this new film.
