Portgas D. Ace, also known as Gol D. Ace, was the older brother of Luffy and Sabo, and the biological son of the late King of Pirates, Gol D. Roger, and Portgas D. Rouge.

He was the commander of the 2nd division of the Barbablanca Pirates and former captain of the Spade Pirates. Ace was known for his stubborn personality and his tendency to protect those close to him. Unfortunately, he died during the Impel Down and Marineford arc while protecting his brother Luffy.

Ace had short black hair and dark eyes. He was tall, with a height of 1.85 meters. He had a tattoo on his back that read "ASCE" with a cross in the middle. He also had a scar under his left eye. He used to wear a white tank top with a red and black design and blue shorts.
