Description of Gyokko

Gyokko, also known as Manag during his human days, is a member of the Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise. He was a Demon of the Four Demon Moons group, holding the position of Fifth Lunar Superior.

PERSONAL INFORMATION Gyokko

Gyokko's personality: 

Gyokko was the Upper Moon with the least human features; it was essentially a human body without arms and legs growing inside a porcelain vase, resembling a djinn in appearance. His humanoid features were absent from his limbs. He wore no clothing of any kind and left his entire chest uncovered. Although varied, the design of his vessels consisted mainly of floral motifs.

His hair was of a very strange dye, with the hue of a dark violet, and he wore it combed in the form of a thick parted dreadlock.

He was able to change the entire skin of his body when he found himself in a dangerous situation, giving way to his complete transformation into a demon. His overall appearance was somewhat similar to that of a newt; he still had facial ridges and a muscular build, but his body structure changed to become more human-like and covered in translucent fish-like scales.

Personality:

Gyokko revealed himself to be a conceited, temperamentally unsound and superficial person, especially when it came to matters related to his "art." This was demonstrated when Muichiro Tokito began to belittle and downplay the caliber of his work. Throughout his conversations with the pillar, he repeatedly praised himself as a "hero," and his work further demonstrated that he was a narcissist.

Powers:

Gyokko, the fifth and most powerful of the Four Demon Moons, possessed powers and abilities that were beyond those of any conventional Demon, being able to climb mountain peaks, as she appeared during her battle with Muichiro Tokitodefeating him and coming dangerously close to killing him because he had awakened his Demon Hunter's Mark.

Design:

Doma was designed by the mangaka Koyoharu Gotouge. His appearance is that of a tall, muscular man with dark blue skin, yellow eyes and long white hair. He wears traditional Japanese clothing, and his weapon of choice is a kind of fan with a chain.

fun facts:

• The appearance of the demonic fish that Gyokko summons is reminiscent of the monstrous fish that Junji Ito created for his comic Gyo.
• Gyokko is Muzan Kibutsuji's favorite full moon, as its jars can be purchased for incredibly high prices.
• Unlike Hantengu and Daki/Gyutaro, his replacement as Superior Moon 5 never materialized.
