Chainsaw Man: Synopsis
Chainsaw Man is an anime that falls into the category of shonen, which means that it is a work of action and comedy for young people, but some say that it also has a touch of seinen, so it has tragic scenes that are usually seen more often in other works with more adult themes and thanks to that, we have an incredible combination of genres that have resulted in what many hope will end up becoming one of the top anime of recent years.
Chainsaw Man immerses us in a world where demons are real and these get their power depending on the fear that humans have towards them, which gives rise to quite creative enemies, since it is enough that a group of people are afraid of an object or anything in general to end up creating one of these creatures.
And this is where our protagonist comes in, Denji, who for various reasons ends up befriending one of these demons, whom he baptizes with the name of Pochita and together with his demonic dog, he starts working for a yakuza, but unfortunately, things get out of control and as a consequence, Pochita makes a contract with the teenager, giving rise to the powerful chainsaw demon and with that, the fierce action that characterizes this work is unleashed.
In the wake of what happened, comes the other element that complements the story, public safety, a government agency headed by Makima, who discovers that the condition of the protagonist is peculiar to say the least, only to realize that the boy is now a hybrid between human and demon, so from now on, he will join them as a hunter to pay his debt, something that our protagonist accepts without problems to live a dignified life.
However, this seems to be meaningless for Denji and begins to question how meaningful his life and struggle is, but despite this, he is still the same eccentric we knew from the beginning, which becomes a nice detail that endows the character with a unique charisma and essence.
